چکیده

Introduction: Robotic right donor hepatectomy (RDH) has been described recently as an alternative to open (ODH). Experienced centres have demonstrated shorter hospital stay compared in this study, we the quality of life (QOL) between RDH and ODH at three months following surgery. Methods: A total 154 consecutive hepatectomies (open robotic) were recruited. The SF-36 questionnaire was used assess QoL preoperatively after surgery, Clavien-Dindo classification document complications. Results: Our study showed no significant difference physical (p=0.403) well mental composite scores (p=0.103) robotic groups. Compared with preoperative scores, postoperative a downward trend both observed (p<0.001) groups p= (0.001) while did not show (p= 0.199& 0.873 & groups, respectively). Significantly higher intraoperative blood loss (657.14 ± 577.73 ml vs 462.24 267.03 ,p=0.025) Clavien Dindo Grade 3 4 complications (16 (15.2%) 2 (4.1%) ,p=0.05) group. Postoperative pain minor donor, recipient mortality are comparable Conclusion: QOL is similar RDH. However, had

Laparoscopic living donor hepatectomy

Shortage of deceased donor organs led to establishment of living donor liver transplantation. Recent reports have strongly suggested that laparoscopic approach should be the gold standard for lesions in the left lateral section. Laparoscopic living donor left lateral sectionectomy was first described in 2002. Subsequently, laparoscopic procurement of left lateral sections was shown to be safe a...

Anesthetic management of totally robotic right lobe living-donor hepatectomy: new tools ask for perioperative care.

Living donor transplantation is an accepted clinical practice in select transplant centers in Western countries to increase the availability of organs, while is standard practice in East Asian transplant programs. Living-donor right hepatic lobe resection is a particularly risky operation, with two mandatory outcomes: no serious complications for the donor, and an optimal graft-recipient body w...

Mental health status after living donor hepatectomy

Donor safety and preservation of donor health after living liver donation are of paramount importance. In addition, the preoperative mental state of a donor is an important factor in determining the psychological impact of donor hepatectomy. Thus, we aimed to explore the mental health status of living liver donors after hepatectomy. We enrolled 60 donors who were scheduled to undergo living don...

Salvage dual graft living donor liver transplantation after major hepatectomy

Salvage living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) after major hepatectomy has been considered a challenging procedure due to operative complexity. We report a successful case of salvage dual graft LDLT after right hepatectomy. A 48-year-old male was transferred to Daegu Catholic University Medical Center because of duodenal variceal bleeding. He underwent right hepatectomy due to hepatocellular...

Laparoscopic living donor hepatectomy for liver transplantation in children.

BACKGROUND Because cadaveric organ donors are in short supply, living donors are increasingly being used in transplantations. We have developed a safe and reproducible method for laparoscopic liver resection. METHODS Left hepatic lobectomy (resection of segments 2 and 3) was done by laparoscopy in one woman aged 27 years and one man aged 31 years. The grafts were prepared under laparoscopy, w...
